Andhra Pradesh's Health Department has kept 359 108 ambulances, 128 Thalli Bidda Express vehicles and 320 mobile medical units ready ahead of Cyclone Murasu.

Andhra Pradesh's Health, Medical and Family Welfare Department has made arrangements in 13 districts likely to be affected by Severe Cyclonic Storm Murasu, according to a department release issued on Monday, 2 November, as reported by The Hindu.

In all, 724 medical teams, 4,628 emergency beds and 205 relief camps have been kept ready. The release says 398 of the state's 866 government hospitals are in cyclone-prone areas. Officials have also identified 3,066 pregnant women with expected delivery dates between 1 and 10 November. Of them, 1,103 have already been shifted to nearby hospitals, and the rest are to be relocated in advance where necessary.
